Sorry for the lack of posts and pictures but the last few days have been exhausting and packed with many inconveniences that I might go into at a later time.
Giving you guys an update and somewhat proper post after being in Hawaii for just over two weeks and so far, it has been good. The first week was full learning the works and getting acclimated to living on the farm which I am slowly finding out that I might not be as settled in as I originally thought.
Getting used to living in a house full of people that I didn't know not too long ago and that are in some senses still strangers to me has been one of the most interesting parts of this experience. As one would expect you have your favorites and definitely some not so favorites but luckily for me my roommates are more than arguably some of the best people on the farm. I share a room with two other individuals, but the space is big so it's not to crowded in addition we also have our own bathroom as well. Some people still use it, but it hasn't been too bad.
With the work side of things, they have many different duties that you can be on such as opening or closing hilltop, which is the main building on the farm, field day, tour guiding and even working at the coffee shop. For the hilltop you greet customers, fulfill orders, package/sort all sold products, keep the coffee flowing and the setting areas clean. Field days are everything from weed whacking, coffee/fruit picking and pretty much what ever Cooper the field manager wants us to do. As for the tour guiding and coffee shop stuff goes you have to be at the farm for over a month to start that.
So far on my days off I have gone snorkeling, going to local beaches, walking the town and have been to a wide range of local restaurants. My next post will be another photo dump, and I will give you some context to pictures at the bottom of each one.
